Life Goes on and on …..

Sometimes, I feel as if I am caught in a whirlwind and I can’t escape.  Have you ever felt that way?

Since the middle of May until present day, I have been going and going.  My oldest daughter has pneumonia.  My dad has had so serious health scares and issues and is now looking at invasive surgery all the while he keeps making plans to go to Michigan.  I missed so much work.  I am ready for this ride to stop.  I want off.  I want to stop and savor the moments not rush through them.

I’ve prayed and asked God to give me wisdom and to help.   After all He created me, He knows how much I can take, physically, mentally, emotionally and financially.

This weekend, I had to work the Chiefland Watermelon Festival for work.  We handed out free issues of our papers, cold water and ice-pops.  We also had a drawing for a BBQ grills set.  I took my middle child and youngest one to help me.  Poor Savannah had to stay home since she is the one fighting the pneumonia.  I really wanted to stay at home and just rest after these last fifteen days.  But I didn’t have a choice.  We visited the annual Friends of the Library book sale and found some great books.  I am always amazed at how many spiritually edifying books that are available.  The girls had a blast.  Then we looked around at the vendors and even had a mint chocolate chip ice cream cones.  Yum.  Then we were off to work at the booth.

We didn’t get to watch the parade this year, since Savannah was at home waiting for us.  I think I may have gotten a little too much sun so I felt horrible all the rest of the day.  We did have pizza party with Poppa.  Which was fun.  I even got to drive his new car.  I love it.  But I hate that it has a black interior.  You know the funny thing is I would have never of noticed this prior to having kids and pets.  Black is just so hard to keep clean.

We enjoyed a restful day on Sunday spend with dh and Poppa.  The humidity has went down a few notches so it is not so hard to be outside.  The pool helps.
