Each Spring Clean, Year Round comes in it’s very own mini box.  The box is 5.5 inches long.  2.75 inches wide and 4 inches tall.  It comes with a handle and reminds me of a mini lunch box.  There is a clasp on the front to keep it closed when not in use.  The box is decorated with ribbons and clip art.  It is very attractive.  I left mine while I was using it out on the counter and received many compliments on it as they thought it was part of my decor.

Inside the box are index size tabs.  Starting with the number one and continuing to thirty-one.  One for each day of a month. Then there are tabs for the months January through December.

Spring Clean, Year Round is a system that includes most of the common chores necessary to keep a home spring cleaned year round.  The system does not claim to be exhaustive, and there are blank cards so you can customize it to fit your needs.  The daily chores that each wife, mother and keeper of a home faces are not included in the system.

One of the first things that I loved about Spring Clean, Year Round is the fact that it was created to honor God in our home keeping.  Built on the Scripture of Colossians 3:23.  The second thing that I loved about Spring Clean, Year Round was the simplicity and ease of use.  It takes the chores that we all need to do to keep our homes in tip-top shape and places them at your finger tips in an organized manner that lets you space them out through out the year giving you peace of mind knowing that your house will be clean.  Of course if you don’t do them then you have to realize your house will be in the same condition it was before you started.

I used the system for longer than 30 days, as life got in the way, and I was really addicted to the system.  I just didn’t want to part with it in the giveaway until I had completed some of the chores, I knew needed to be done around our house.

You can sort each index card according to frequency monthly, weekly, etc.  You assign each chore according to the month, week, bi-weekly that you feel would meet your needs.  You can place the chores on any day you chose within any month you would like to meet your own personal needs.  But you do want to keep in mind the weather outside for where you live and the days you have more time versus the days you don’t.

You can begin to use this system whenever you want.  You don’t have to wait for the first of the year, or the first of the month or the first of the week.  Just jump right one in with whatever day it is when you receive it.  As you use the card up for the corresponding date you can re-file them after completing the chore as needed.  Remember to make the system work for you.

There are twice weekly chores.  Like empty trash cans.  There are even age limits on the cards so your children can assist you too.  There are also helpful hints on each card to make each chore easier in the future.  Another twice weekly chore is clean bathroom sinks and mirrors.

Next comes the weekly chores.  For instance there are wash sheets, check vehicle fluid levels.  Again each card comes with age appropriate recommendations and helpful hints.

Every other week chores are next.  For instance wash all machine washable rugs and clean small appliances.

Monthly chores include pick a cabinet and dust it out.  Wash trash cans inside and out.

Weekly or monthly chores include wash comforters and shams.

There are sections for every other month, every three months, every four months, every 3,000 to 5,000 miles, twice yearly, every 6,000 to 10,000 miles, yearly.

I have thoroughly enjoyed using this system.  It takes all the fuss out of cleaning.  You don’t have to remember all the things and wind up forgetting half of them.  You just move the cards as you complete them.  What a sense of accomplishment.  The girls loved using the chore cards with me too.  It is so easy.

Spring Clean, Year Round would be an awesome gift for a newly wed, expecting mother, anyone really. With the holiday’s approaching it would be the perfect addition to any shopping list.  And such a great blessing to anyone who receives it.

I hope you’ll stop by the Spring Clean, Year Round blog and say Hi to Travis for me and let her know you saw a review on my blog.

The winner of the contest will be announced on the 31st of October.

So don’t forget to grab your entries.
