Holiday’s The Reason for the Season

What is your reason for the holiday season?  Is it so you can overspend placing yourself in more debt?  Just so your family can have nice presents to open on Christmas day?  Is it so you can wake up at the crack of dawn each morning and slave over a hot stove until your kitchen is filled with delicious baked goods?  Is you working 18 hour days just so you can have the money to buy presents this year?  Is it you waiting for the man in the red suit to come down the chimney?

Let me share the real reason behind the season with you so you can lay your burdens down.  I am quoting from the Common English Bible CEB.

Luke 2:10 “The angel said, “Don’t be afraid! Look! I bring good news to you — wonderful, joyous news for all people.  Your savior is born today in David’s city.  He is the Christ the Lord.  This is a sign for you: you will find a newborn baby wrapped snugly and lying in a manger.  Suddenly a great assembly of the heavenly forces was with the angel praising God.  They said, “Glory to God in the heaven, and on earth peace among those whom he favors.”

That is the reason for my season Jesus Christ is Lord.  He is no longer that baby wrapped snugly and lying in a manger.  He is now at the right hand of God.  He is living inside of me.

So take a break this holiday season and asked yourself, what is your reason for the season.  If it doesn’t line up with the Word of God you might want to allow the Word of God to line you up.

If you don’t know Christ as your personal savior, please feel free to contact me I would love to share Him with you for all of eternity.

Until Next Time,
