I am sharing today from Exodus 24. I am using the Common English Bible this year.
The Israelites grumbled and complained frequently upon leaving Egypt at the mighty hand of God. They gripped about no food, no water, the Egyptians pursuing them, etc. Can you relate?
Can you picture this? I can when I read it, but what about when I gripe and complain? Too hot or too cold, not enough time, money, etch. You fill in the blank, we all do it.
As Moses said we are complaining against God. Why? God is the creator, our provider, He is the reason we wake up each morning, each breath we take and yet who are we to complain?
God sees more than we could ever grasp. He knows what we need when we need it and how much. Why can’t we trust Him? What would have happened to the Israelite’s in the exodus if they trusted God with all their hearts, minds, body and soul? Would the journey to the Promised Land have been shorter?
Think about it for a while. If we trust God in the beginning we won’t have to walk around our Promised Land for forty years being taught how to trust God.
Until Next Time,
