Homemaker’s Friend Daily Planner Review for 2016

2016_DP_CoverI am so excited!  Sue Hooley of The Homemaker’s Friend sent me a 2016 Daily Planner to review again!  I have to say this is my all time favorite planner.  I use this planner more than any of the other planners sent to me over the years that I’ve blogged about products and wrote reviews.  I use The Homemaker’s Friend to plan my blog, my life, my family’s life and my work schedule.  I carry it everywhere.  It is my best friend and knows all my secrets, dreams and schedules.  I know most people have switched to digital planning but I am an old fashion type of person who loves the feel of pen and paper.  I will always plan this way as long as The Homemaker’s Friend is published.  Can’t wait to get your hands on your very own copy?  Click anywhere within this post on the planner name, Sue’s name and you’ll automatically be taken to her website.

I am going to try an explain why the The Homemaker’s Friend Daily Planner has become my favorite planner and why I feel totally unprepared when I do not have it by my side.  I have to tell you carrying a planner around for 30 days usually destroys most planners I am sent to review.  NOT the Sue Hooley’s Daily Planner.  It lasts the whole year the cover still looks great after 365 days of being used and abused and put in the black hole I call my purse.  As a planner addict and someone who depends on a planner daily this is an important thing.  I don’t want to pull some messed up, ratty, unraveling spiral thingy from my purse in a business meeting or Rotary meeting, do you?  NO!  I want the product I use to hold up and look professional.  So this is one reason I keep returning to The Homemaker’s Friend Daily Planner the sturdy cover and ring coiling that holds up to the test of time.

Even though The Homemaker’s Friend Daily Planner is called a daily planner each planner includes a yearly calendar.  I love the fact that I can look at this calendar for months ahead and still be able to plan.  I like that this planner has all the pages I need to effectively schedule my home, work and business all in one and is not too bulky to carry with me each day. Each section has it’s very own tab so you can find what you need in a hurry.   Each The Homemaker’s Friend Daily Planner includes monthly calendar planning pages too.  I use this page for upcoming events.  Like right now I am scheduling for January, all the doctor, allergists, orthodontist appointments.  The next section or tab is the weekly planning pages which includes a section for each day of the week with a Monday start.  I love the task list on each page of the weekly planning pages.  This is the place that I list all the tasks I hope to complete or need to complete within that week.

Another thing I just love about The Homemaker’s Friend Daily Planner is the other pages that it includes.  A Task List or note page.  I use this page for journaling and for notes that I need to carry with me and not forget.  There is also a Project Tab, an info Tab and a Shopping list Tab.  As you can see Sue thought of everything that a planner would need when she created the The Homemaker’s Friend Daily Planner.  I also love the fact since it has become so popular I can decorate this planner any way I want.  I can use color coding with my ink pens.  I can use washi tape or stickers, I can stamp and not have it bleed through the pages.  It is very versatile and can be used in many different ways or formats.  I am sure you can find a use that will help simplify your life and get organized.

Please stop by Sue’s website and tell her Melissa’s Musings sent you.
