She Reads Truth Bible Review & Giveaway!

I have followed She Reads Truth for at least 4 years!  So I was so excited when I heard they were going to come out with a Bible.  If you are not familiar with She Reads Truth just do a search for their name and you’ll find out all about them.  I promise you won’t be disappointed.

Every year I read through the Bible in a year and I like to use a new Bible each year.  I usually wreck a Bible in a year, I mean that in a good way.  I use highlighters, I underline, color code and write notes all through out my yearly Bible.  I decided to begin a little early with using my She Reads Truth Bible as I wanted to do a study in James with an online Bible study group I belong too.  I recently discovered Bible journaling and even though I am not all that artistic I have come up with my own method to allow me to seep in the Word.

The Bible that I received from B&H Publishing through Front Gate Media to review is a hardcover which will hold up very well through a whole year of hard use.  I usually take my yearly Bible with me everywhere.  I throw it in my tote and it goes all over with me, so I need a durable Bible that can withstand a year of Melissa.  I think this Bible will last more than a year, I have been tossing it around in my tote bag and in my car for about a month and it doesn’t even have a mark on it.   The color of the Bible I was sent is called Poppy Linen.  I have to say it is a unique color, probably not a color I would of picked for myself as I am more a purple fan, but it a vibrant color.

This Bible has two ribbon bookmarks.  Which is a feature that I love.  When I am studying I am always looking for something to mark my place so I can turn some where else in the Bible and I usually end up using what is close at hand which can leave stains in your Bible.  So with two ribbon bookmarks, you can do all your studying without losing your place. The She Reads Truth Bible comes in the Christian Standard Bible version.  This was the first time I have ever used this version and I find it very readable.  It is easy to read and understand what you are reading.

Another feature that stands out to me about the She Reads Truth Bible is that it is unlined.  Since I am new to Bible journaling and not very artistic I like to have wide open spaces to journal in or to trace into.  This Bible makes it so tempting to take notes in.  I am a big note taker and this Bible just begs to be wrote in with all it is wide open space.

Another feature that makes this Bible unique is that it contains the She Reads Truth Bible reading plan in the back of the Bible and each book of the Bible has a reading plan listed after the introduction to that book.   I love the book introductions for each book of the Bible much like a study Bible.  Timelines, reading plans and maps are a few more features that I have come to love as I use this Bible.  So basically you won’t need a million books with you when you study your Bible for yourself.  This Bible is pretty all inclusive.
