NIV Life Application Study Bible, 3rd Edition Review

Please join me as I review the NIV Life Application Study Bible, 3rd Edition by Zondervan.

Thanks to Biblegateway.com and Bible Gateway Blogger Grid for the free Bible to review.

I love study Bibles.  I collect them.  So every time I am given the opportunity to review a study Bible I jump at the chance.  This particular Bible has been on my wish list for sometime as I love to study my Bible using the Inductive Study Method and follow along with Kay Arthur of Precepts.

Since receiving this Bible in the mail from Bible Gateway Blogger Grid to review for them this Bible has since become my favorite Bible and I use it daily for my studying.  I also keep it handy when I am just reading the Bible because it is full of awesome notes, features and so much more.s

Some of the many features that sets this Bible apart from other studies Bibles are”

  • 10,000 Life Application Notes* and other Gold Nuggets
  • 100+ Characters and Personality profiles
  • Intro to Each Book and Timelines
  • Lays flat
  • Tons of Maps and Charts. Full-color Maps in the back!
  • Has punch of red color
  • Dictionary/concordance in the back.
  • Cross-reference system
  • Words of Jesus in Red
  • Two bookmarks
  • Tons of different cover colors and designs to choose from
  • Great for Beginners in the Bible

One feature that really stood out to me was the text size.  As I get older my eyes have a hard time seeing small words on a page, but this Bible has text that is perfect size and it is an easy read.  That is why I started using it for my daily Bible reading time.  It was easy on the eyes and has a wealth of information at your finger tips.

The only con I could find with this Bible is the version.  I normally do not use the NIV version due to the fact that somethings that I personally consider important have been changed from the KJV that I grew up on.  But still I won’t let that stop me from using it.

You can watch an interview with this Bible’s general editor Ron Beers, on the Bible Gateway Blog by clicking on his name above.

I hope you enjoyed my review and I hope that you will check out this Bible and give it a try for yourself.  You won’t be disappointed.

Until Next Time,

M
